GPS asset tracker for any vehicle, trailer, or asset

If it moves, gets stolen, or you just need to find it, we can track it. Rugged LTE-M trackers for anything worth knowing the location of — nationwide across the United States, plus Canada. First year of tracking service included, no long-term contract.

Start here: every asset is either powered or unpowered, and that single question picks your tracker. For anything with its own power — trucks, vans, cars, powered equipment — the hardwired TP056 reports continuously off 10–30V. For anything without power — trailers, containers, generators, RVs, boats — the wireless TP057 runs for months on an internal 2200 mAh battery and mounts magnetically. Both are IP67 rated, FCC and IC certified, and bundle the first year of service. Not sure which fits? Tell us the asset and we'll spec it.

Powered or unpowered? That's the whole decision

Most people overthink asset tracking. It comes down to one thing: does the asset have a constant power source? A running tractor, a work van, a car, or a machine on a 12/24V feed can carry a hardwired tracker that never needs charging. A dropped trailer, a shipping container, a roll-off dumpster, an agricultural implement, a generator sitting in a yard, or a boat on a mooring can't — so it needs a self-powered, wireless tracker that carries its own battery.

TruckerPro covers both with two devices on one platform. Trucking is our home turf, but the same hardware tracks construction equipment, service-fleet vans, rental and leased assets, portable storage, RVs, and personal vehicles just as well. And because these are asset trackers — not an Hours-of-Service system — they run alongside your existing Samsara, Motive, or Geotab ELD, adding live location, geofencing, and theft alerts without touching compliance.

How asset tracking works — and what you get

Each device fixes its position from multi-constellation GNSS (GPS and GLONASS) and reports it over LTE-M, a low-power cellular network built for connected devices with deep rural reach nationwide across the United States, plus Canada. The hardwired TP056 draws that connection from vehicle power for continuous reporting; the wireless TP057 uses motion-triggered reporting to stretch its battery to months while an asset sits still.

Because the trackers are built by the team behind TruckerPro TMS — not drop-shipped off a marketplace — positions feed a real live platform. You get a live map, geofencing and theft alerts the moment an asset leaves a set zone, and mileage / IFTA reports you can export. New to any of this? Start with how trailer GPS tracking works, then come back and pick your device.

The honest terms are simple: the first year of tracking service is included with every device, there's no long-term contract, there's a 3-month hardware warranty, and you can cancel any time and keep the hardware. Back to the full TruckerPro Telematics lineup.

Frequently asked questions

What is a GPS asset tracker?

A GPS asset tracker is a device that determines an asset's location using GNSS satellites and reports it over a cellular network so you can view it on a live map. TruckerPro offers a hardwired model (TP056) and a wireless battery-powered model (TP057) for powered and unpowered assets.

What assets can you track?

Any vehicle, trailer, container, generator, or piece of equipment — powered or unpowered. TruckerPro trackers are used across trucking, construction, service fleets, RVs, and personal vehicles nationwide in the U.S. and Canada.

Should I choose a battery or hardwired asset tracker?

The TP057 is wireless with an internal 2200 mAh battery (months of life) and a magnetic mount for unpowered assets. The TP056 hardwires to 10–30V power for continuous reporting on powered assets. Not sure? Email [email protected] with the asset and we'll spec the right one.

Do GPS asset trackers need a subscription?

They use a cellular data plan to report. TruckerPro includes the first year of tracking service with every device and requires no long-term contract. Contact [email protected] for pricing.

How accurate is the location?

The trackers use multi-constellation GNSS (GPS and GLONASS) for positioning and report over the LTE-M cellular network, which has wide coverage including rural areas nationwide across the U.S., plus Canada.

What features are included?

Live map tracking, geofencing, theft alerts, and mileage/IFTA reports. Both devices are IP67 rated and FCC + IC certified.
