LTE-M
LTE-M is a cellular category built for devices that send small messages and need to sip power. Asset trackers use it because they are not smartphones.
Definition
LTE-M (Long-Term Evolution for Machines, LTE Cat M1) is a cellular access type for small, often battery-powered devices. Both TruckerPro candidates support LTE-M / Cat M1 class hardware. That is a radio capability.
What still has to be chosen
Carrier, bands, roaming, and geographic availability are not selected for the pilot. Do not read “LTE-M” as “works on every Canadian or US backroad.”

What is LTE-M?

Does LTE-M mean my trailer will report everywhere?
No. The device must also have a SIM, a supported band, a roaming agreement, and signal at the mount point.
