NB-IoT
Narrowband IoT is a sibling of LTE-M: even smaller pipes, often used when a device reports rarely and must last on a cell.
Definition
NB-IoT is a narrowband cellular technology for devices that send small payloads. It can be attractive for parked-asset pings. It can also be unavailable on a given carrier or region, and it is a poor fit if you need frequent, larger messages.
TruckerPro status
TP057 hardware can speak NB-IoT. Whether the pilot uses it depends on the still-unselected carrier and the reporting profile under test.
